Home again

Hi everybody :)

SO great news (for me at least) I'm home again! 8 days at the hospital and I finally got out! Okay, perhaps it sounds like it was the absolute worst place to be.. it wasn't, the nurses were really sweet and did everything to make me feel better. But seriously it's soooo much better to be home! I feel more like me, if that make sense...

Anyway I am (very slowly) starting to go to school again, which is good because my absence is well much higher than it should be... it was great seeing everybody again - it was almost like after a vacation, the only difference was that I was the only who had been at vacation... but still amazing to be together with people (at my age) again :)
Oh of course the day I came home two of my classmates came by my house/apartment and gave me a letter from my class :) it was so sweet :)

I suppose I should explane the danish school-system:
We start in primary school when we are 5 or 6 years old, after 10 years we finish that :) then you can choose 10th grade or a school we call gymnasium there is of cause different kinds of gymnasiums: technical school, trading school and the normal gymnasium. Besides choosing which kind of gymnasium you want to go to you have to choose a line of studying - like social science, english and math (that's mine) or science, math and biology, there is a million different options! And they are different from gymnasium to gymnasium as well!
When you finish gymnasium you can take an higher education, like journalism, law school, university, yeah everything is possible (if your grades are good enough of course)

I'm in gymnasium and my gymnasium is called Ordrup Gymnasium or OG :) I LOOOVE it! We have the best parties and friday cafés, we are actually the gymnasium in Denmark with the best unity! And we have great teachers and new equipment.
Here is the homepage of my gymnasium: http://www.ordrup-gym.dk/
The picture is from my "intro group" (which is the group I spend my first week at Ordrup Gymnasium in) we are lying in the schoolyard and the picture is taken from the roof :)

The last picture is my "intro group" in front of the font door :) I'm the one at the bottom of the stairs next to the red bag :)

Oh did I mention that we don't have to wear uniforms :) and that we are off school between two o'clock and 4 o'clock each day - if not earlier because we have cancelled lessons :)

That was it for today :)

Hospital

Hi everybody!

First of all I will apologize for my english grammar - I hope it's okay that I'm not completely without mistakes when it comes to that (and a lot of other things but you will find out when you read about my life)

So my first post.. kind of exiting actually and I would properly be completely on the top of myself if I wasn't in a hospital...

So guess what my first post will be about lying in a danish hospital, I know it might not sounds that interesting but believe me - a lot of weird things happens at a hospital!!!

Anyway I have been ill for about 3 weeks now, and I was hospitalized 6 days ago because my throat was so closed up (because it was swollen) that my doctor was afraid that I at some point wouldn't be able to breathe..
The first day and a half I was lying in the emergency department, there was so many people and they kept coming and leaving day and night! Which was kind of stressing... There was this one really creepy man, he was ill of cause so that's properly why but, he walked back and forth in his underwear talking to himself.. I felt bad for him - but what can you do...

On the second day I got transferred to the medical department, which was great because I got my own room and here isn't as many people so it's easier to relax :)
Here I'm definitely the youngest - I think everybody else are at least 70 years old! Two of the women on the hallway are yelling ALL THE TIME! It's sooo annoying! One of them yells "Help help help" and the other one yells "Hallo hallo hallo" and then they both pull in the emergency string as makes the nurses come so the alarm is bibbing all over the hallway! And it's all the time - it's like they have energy as lasts forever! I can't stand it! Even the nurses are telling them to be quiet!

Luckily I get a lot of visitors, so that's really nice. Because it's so incredibly boring to sit alone out here.. and the doctor as came to check on me about an hour ago said that it properly would be a while before I could come home.. :(

Did I say that it's free to be in the hospital in Denmark? Well it's.. Then we just pay a damn lot in tax, bit it's still kind of nice not to worry about the money while I'm here :)
The thing I have to worry about is school! Because I have too much absence soon - because I haven't been able to go to school for almost 3 weeks. And if I get too much absence I will be kicked out of school..
But I wrote my teachers and they said I shouldn't worry about it - just about getting well again, so that's good.. But still..

Well I will stop writing now - perhaps my next post will be from the hospital again - I hope not because I want to go home but you never know!!

Love <3
